His BIO
The Toronto DJ-Producer Billy “djBoza”, appeared behind the decks In the late 80’s and quickly made a name for himself being one of the first spinning the house music sound in Toronto. Performing under the moniker Boza, he developed His own unique style. Boza unleashes slamming Rhythms and soulful vocals that electrify dance floors internationally, while flooding the house scene with his music Boza was influenced by the beats of house masters Todd Terry, Eric Morillo and Roger Sanchez the most. Boza’s passion for innovation in sound has led him to produce his own blend of music with various influences ranging through rock to disco and international folk inspired house music. His first release Big House (2000) met with rave reviews from the media KLUBLIFE called the effort “the tape practically exploded in my car stereo,” (KLUBLIFE Vol.4-July 2000). Boza went on to mix beats in International super clubs. Boza’s (2001) CD release Samplizum featured original tracks and remixes by the talented DJ/producer. As a result of his successful mix compilations and solid reputation Boza was recruited by Universal Music to work on the infamous Pure Dance CD Releases (2002). Toronto’s best-kept secret has exploded onto the Production scene with his vinyl release of “Jack da Ripper” & “Feel for Me” The tracks come as one of his debut EP’s Subsession 1: Ghettoblastin, Trax, on Blow Media. Both tracks are big, main room, pumping beats created to crack the floors of the top clubs around the world. With heavy support by many of the world’s top jocks. Mid of 2004 the Funkyboodah Label launched Boza’s She’s Looking Good track. The record was spun by Top International DJ’s. The recording was picked up internationally by “Donald Glade”. And supported locally by Toronto’s very own Addy and Carlo Lio plus soon after Manzone and Strong. (2005) she’s looking Good toped out Radio Charts from #8 to #1 from January thru September 2005. At the top of 2006 Boza lunches his very own house label Modified records, and receives a Juno nomination for his hit track “she’s looking good”. Also in 2006 Boza produces remixes For Sony-BMG Canada’s upscale artists like Melissa O’ Neil, Sarah McLachlan also not forgetting other major labels unreleased remixes like Justin Timberlake and Warner Bros “Sorry” – Madonna, these never made it to shelves but they earned him respect in the underground scene turning into must have tracks by top dj’s internationally. Boza being resident at such clubs like Legendary International night club’s “The Government” “Inside”(owned by Vince Carter), “Film lounge”, “Afterlife” and “Circa” have been touched by the big sound of Boza. Not to mention top stars like the “OC’s” cast, Shack, Paris Hilton, dj AM, Justin Timberlake and other famous guest who partied at Boza’s residency Inside Night Club (Owned by Vince Carter). 2007 Boza starts off the year with two banging remixes, Willie Morales “Bang Goes the drums” And the other “Lippy Loops” a Carlo lio dance floor smasher. As the year carries on Boza’s remixes and tracks are being supported by the likes of Axwell, Rene Amisz, Carol Cox, Robbie Rivera, and more. (2008) Boza makes big moves by remixing Roger Sanchez’s classic hit signal “Another Chance” (release yourself show #350) and having a few other hit’s like “We Stomp” “Twisted Mind” and “My Big Thing”. Spending his year in Europe working with international talent “Synthesis” and playing in local night spots, not forgetting his wedding in the euro city of Bitola (Macedonia) where he married his beautiful wife Ana. This will go on to be an even bigger year as Boza’s remix album with Macedonian orchestral group Synthesis becomes one of the First Folk/house/remix album, transforming Synthesis folk sound into big club vibe.
